Welcome to this year's initial round of the BCC Riviera's prestigious awards. Here you are invited to present your nominations.

So what criteria are we looking for in nominees ?

Firstly, we will accept nominations FROM anyone with a business presence in the 06/83/Monaco area FOR anyone with a business presence in the 06/83/Monaco area. Nominations are not restricted to BCC Riviera members.

Nominations are welcome for people in whatever business, industry or type of organisation, large or small. 

As our main purpose is to encourage/facilitate networking & business in the area we are certainly looking for some visible form of business excellence during 2009.  Perhaps they have achieved exceptional profitable growth (despite difficult times) or implemented an inspiring or innovative product/service or business approach with great potential. Or it could be their visibility and contribution within the local business community. Or a combination of all three !

Please note we will only accept one nomination from each person. Previous winners should also be excluded to give others a chance to be considered.

How will the winner be decided ?

This constitutes the first round of which is open to everyone as described. Nominations will be closed off on the22nd October at which stage a short list will be drawn up. The Committee's will at this stage verify the eligibility of each nominee i.e. their presence in the area, that the voting/nominations have been freely/fairly produced and are indeed based on "merit" and not simply the number of active friends they might have! All attempts will be made to keep this process transparent, but any decision by the Committee to exclude a nominee will be final.

Round two will then consist of the publishing the shortlist of contenders towards the end of October, again for anyone with a local presence to vote.

The winner will be announced at the BCC Gala Evening on 29th November.
