AngloPHONEBOOK wins prestigious Queen's Award

Image for AngloPHONEBOOK wins prestigious QueenAdvertising Services Ltd (ASL), publisher of the AngloPHONEBOOK has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade Category.

The Queen’s Award is the most prestigious corporate accolade that a UK business can win, and was awarded to the Bristol-based company for more than doubling exports over three years.

The AngloPHONEBOOK, now in its 5th year and with over 9,000 businesses listed has grown steadily since it being set up by Managing Director Steve Crowe. The recently launched 2009-10 edition is available now, with 50,000 copies having been distributed across the Riviera in the past month.

ASL won the award on the advice of the Prime Minister after examination by an Advisory Committee composed of leading individuals from the industry, commerce, trade unions and government. The award will be formally conferred on the company in the summer by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol, Mrs Mary Prior MBE acting in her capacity as the Queen’s local representative.
